This past Saturday (October 22), the College Park Community Library made an appearance with a "living room"-style "table" at the second annual College Park Day (could of used some plants....).
Our goals for being there were twofold: 1) spread the word about the library, and 2) gather some volunteers. I'd like to think we accomplished both, as we talked to a lot of folks (such as College Park Mayor Andy Fellows and District 21 State Senator Jim Rosapepe) about what we have planned and got a bunch of names and e-mail addresses of folks who want to lend a hand one way or another. On top of that, some generous souls even donated a few bucks toward the effort (thanks!).
Special thanks to Bill and Jackie (in photo) for helping out and rubbing elbows with College Park Day attendees on the library's behalf, and thanks to everyone who came out for College Park Day!
Here's a link about it all from College Park Patch.
