Almost there...

Fiction section
A month or two ago, I said that the College Park Community Library (CPCL) would be open by the end of January 2012. Well, the end of the month isn't that far away. Fortunately, we're not that far away from opening! (See the photos. Note: not pictured is the children's section, which we're finishing up now.)

After a lot of hard work by a few indefatigable individuals (and a lot of skipping out on work to go get shelves!), we stand before you now with only a few things left to do. Will we make our goal? With a little luck, I think we'll make it.

non-fiction & lounging area
Of course, there will still be plenty to do once we open the doors. Chief among them will be finding volunteers to help us staff the place so we can be open as much as possible. If you'd like to help out in this regard, please contact us and let us know. It doesn't matter if you have any library experience - all that's required is a willingness to lend a hand.

If you'd like to help out, but can't volunteer, perhaps you could help us procure one of the following items on our wishlist.

Things we need as of 1/25/12:
rest of non-fiction and romance

bookends (we need a lot of these)
coffee table
arm chair or small couch
working, modern computer (laptop or desktop)
printer (with necessary software)
